Emmerdale's Lachlan plans a double murder tonight
Emmerdale kicks off a huge week for Lachlan White's serial killer storyline tonight (July 16) as he lines up two possible new victims.
Evil Lachlan (Thomas Atkinson) spots an opportunity to wipe out Liv Flaherty and Robert Sugden in one go, wanting revenge over some threatening texts that he's receiving.
As a fearful Lachlan continues to wonder who's behind the mystery messages, he spots Liv looking dodgy with her phone and realises that she might be responsible.
Deciding it's time to strike out against Liv once and for all, Lachlan hatches a dark plan to get rid of her.
Later on, Lachlan sabotages the carbon monoxide detector at Mill Cottage before deliberately causing a leak.
Lachlan is grimly satisfied over his horrifying plan as he leaves, knowing that this is his chance to kill his long-time enemy Robert as well as Liv.
Once Lachlan has gone, Liv is oblivious as she sits down with her laptop, unaware of the carbon monoxide leak. How much danger is she in?
Last week, Emmerdale confirmed that Liv, Robert and Rebecca White would all end up in the firing line as Lachlan spirals further out of control over the next few days.
Fans have also been left to speculate over whether Lachlan has murdered impostor "Terry", who posed as Gerry's uncle to con the villagers a few weeks ago.
After Lachlan followed "Terry" with murderous intent, he was later seen with blood on his sleeve – a hint that he could have struck again.
Emmerdale airs tonight at 7pm on ITV.
