Estonia transfers Mistral short-range AA systems to Ukraine

Estonia has prepared a new military aid package for Ukraine, which will include short-range Mistral air defense systems and missiles for them, Estonian Defense Ministry announced on June 11.

“We have developed the aid package to be as beneficial as possible for Ukraine while not compromising the combat capability of the Estonian Defense Forces,” Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said.

“This will allow us to replenish necessary stockpiles as quickly as possible.”

The exact quantity of the weaponry is not disclosed for security reasons, the ministry noted.

The message added that Estonia has previously supplied Ukraine with ammunition for Javelin anti-tank missile systems, howitzers, artillery ammunition, anti-tank mines, anti-tank grenade launchers, mortars, vehicles, communication equipment, field hospitals, medical supplies, personal protective equipment, and MREs.
