Ex-GOP Lawmaker Hits Fans Of 'Sick Puppy' Donald Trump With A Damning Question
Former Rep. Bob Inglis (R-S.C.) slammed GOP nominee Donald Trump as “really quite a sick puppy” as he became the latest in a long, long line of Republicans to publicly support Democratic nominee Kamala Harris in the 2024 election.
The former president is “a clear and present danger to the republic,” Inglis told the Charleston City Paper in an interview this week. “He’s disqualified based on character and rationality, so I’ll be voting for Kamala Harris.”
Trump is “completely consumed with himself” and “needs some help,” and his loss to Harris “would be a good thing” for the GOP as the party could “rethink and get a correction,” Inglis said.
And to possible MAGA voters, he reminded them about Trump: “He’s been unfaithful to three wives. Why would we, at the altar with him as the fourth, think that he’s going to be faithful to us? Talk about irrationality.”
Inglis served six terms in Congress from 1993 to 1999 and then 2005 to 2011.
His belief in climate change and advocacy for solutions to the crisis caused friction with his Republican colleagues.
In 2016, he called Trump a “false savior.”
