Five people injured, destruction reported in massive shelling and bomb attack on Kherson Oblast overnight

Russian tactical aviation dropped 32 guided aerial bombs on Kherson Oblast overnight, causing injuries and damage, the Southern Defense Forces spokeswoman Natalia Humeniuk said on national television on Oct. 29.

"We counted 32 such bombs over the past day," she said, adding that the oblast’s right bank had been targeted by these attacks.

Some 28 guided aerial bombs were recorded targeting populated areas of Beryslav and Kherson districts, including residential neighborhoods of the city of Kherson, and an educational institution in Beryslav. Five people were injured, the regional state administration’s head Oleksandr Prokudin said.

Over the past day, the enemy carried out 63 shelling attacks, firing 301 rounds of ammunition from mortars, artillery, Grad rocket launchers, tanks, UAVs and aircrafts.

In addition, the Russians fired 16 shells at the city of Kherson early on Oct. 29.
