Former McDonald's Chef Reveals The Worst Time To Visit McDonald's
Have you ever visited your local McDonald's only to find massive lines inside and at the drive-thru? If only there were some way to know just when the restaurant is at its busiest. Well, this is where TikTok comes in handy.
Thanks to a TikTok from former McDonald's corporate chef Mike Haracz, we now know that 10:30 a.m. is the busiest time at the restaurant, and likely the worst time to visit. If you're wondering why exactly that is, it turns out that 10:30 a.m. is when most locations are preparing to switch from their breakfast menu to the lunch menu.
"The issue is all of the equipment is all the same and a lot of times things are switched over from the breakfast menu to the lunch menu. That means the fryers are no longer cooking hash browns, they're cooking french fries. The grills have a different time and temperature...Crew are switching over sometimes...So all of these moving parts are happening while it's also getting busier at the restaurant," Chef Mike explained in the video.
Some people in the comments have noted that despite the wait at 10:30 a.m. being long, it's great for getting a mix of breakfast and lunch items as well as fresher lunch food.
"It's nice for extremely fresh lunch food but fully expect a longer wait," said one user.
"The worst time? I call that magic time because you can get a mix [of] breakfast and lunch items," another person added.
Well, it looks like we'll just have to see for ourselves the next time we swing by.
