In this era of reboots, revivals and re-visitings, is there any room for a sequel to the classic British comedy Four Weddings and a Funeral?
Uh, yes. Obviously.
Yes, it appears that Five Weddings and a Funeral is not beyond the realms of possibility, as Anna Chancellor has revealed that the cast recently reunited and talked about "a follow-up".
Anna, who played Duck Face in the '90s film, told The Mirror that "about 10" of the original line-up had a reunion at creator Richard Curtis' house.
"It's mad that it came out 24 years ago. Not all of the cast came to the reunion, but there were about 10 of us," she said. "It was fantastic."
Don't get those expectations up too much though – even though the group spoke about a sequel, Anna still has her doubts.
She went on: "We talked about a follow-up but I don't think there is going to be one. It was one of my first films, so everything was amazing, but this generation are not so familiar with the film."
A perfect reason to introduce a sequel then, Anna.
Of course, a new generation will still get their Four Weddings education, because Mindy Kaling's new series based on the original film is arriving soon.
The anthology series, that will not feature a cameo from Mindy (boo!), is set to stream on Hulu. Well, it is for "young, cool people" after all.
