It might be because we're in lockdown again, or possibly because it's a timeless classic, but it feels like we're all watching Friends more than ever right now. Which, unsurprisingly, means people are picking up on things they've never noticed about the show before.

First it was the continuity errors. Then it was the fact Matthew Perry's actual dad is in the show. And now it's the Jennifer Aniston habit that starts off every one of Rachel Green's sentences, that some fans just can't unhear.

One TikTok user has picked up on a specific verbal tick the actress has, taking to the social media platform to question whether other people hear it too. "So technically this isn’t a trope but what I’m about to say is going to ruin your life, especially if you are a big fan of the show Friends," user cts.trphe said in the video above.

"If you are a big fan of the show, I’m begging you, scroll away, because I’m going to ruin your life." Bit dramatic but OK.

They continued, "Jennifer Aniston has this vocal tic that she does at the beginning of every single sentence that she starts on any show that she’s in. It’s very specific and it’s very hard to unsee once you notice it."

The TikTok then revealed a Friends video montage illustrating the point (watch it above), focussing specifically on the start of every one of Rachel Green aka Jennifer Aniston's lines. Eek.

Some fans, though, have suggested this could be part of Rachel's personality, commenting "I thought it was just acting? To indicate that the character is uncomfy. She only seems to do it in situations that are a little awkward."

Another wrote, "It’s not a ‘tic’ it’s because the situation is awkward so the character tries to break the silence, Jen just does it as part of the character."

Either way, we won't be able to hear past this now.
