Further fears for the Queen over concerning detail in photo

Royal watchers are once again fearing for the Queen's health as a small detail in new photos sparked concern.

The 96-year-old met with Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon this week with the pair being photographed at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh.

Social media users shared their concern after seeing what appeared to be a bruise on the monarch's right hand.

The royal family shared a photo of the meeting with one user writing, "Lovely photo. What's the matter with Her Majesty's hand? Looks nasty."

"Is that a bruise on her hand? Looks like it’s been slammed in a door or she’s had a fall," another concerned fan questioned.

It's not the first time the Queen's hands have sparked concerns with a photo of Her Majesty taken last year after her brief hospital stay revealing she had purple hands.

At the time, Dr Jay Verma the Shakespear Medical Centre told Metro, "It might be Raynaud’s phenomenon or just really cold hands! The purple is due to deoxygenated blood."

Raynaud's phenomenon causes blood vessels in the hands and feet to overreact to cold temperatures or stress, according to the Mayo Clinic.

The Queen has faced a number of health issues since late last year, along with her brief hospital stay, she also suffered a back sprain and had Covid-19 in early 2022.

Her Majesty has limited her attendance at major events and has been relying on a walking stick for the events she has attended.

More recently royal watchers were left concerned by another photo of the monarch with NSW Governor Margaret Beazley, where she looked much slimmer and frail in comparison to a similar snap taken last year with Scott Morrison.

In a piece for NewsCorp, royal expert Daniela Elser shared that the Queen's "concerning appearance" was "striking" in comparison to the photos taken with ScoMo.

"The difference is truly startling," she wrote. "In the intervening 12 months, Her Majesty would appear to have become markedly more stooped, much thinner and overall appears to have shrunk."
