One down, five to go. The clue to the next throne can be found here, though you might need to bring a scarf...

Original story: HBO has scattered six thrones across the globe for fans to find ahead of Game of Thrones' eighth and final season.

The official website for the challenge (known as #ForTheThrone) teases: "For seven seasons you've watched characters lie, bleed, and sacrifice for the Iron Throne. As the final season approaches, only one question remains: How far will you go?"

With millions of viewers eagerly awaiting the new episodes, the search for each throne could get to Pokemon Go! levels.

This exciting task is releasing a live surveillance video for each throne, showing off their locations to rather ambiguous effect. The first one (titled 'Throne of the Forest') is already available online, as you can see below.

There's also a time limit for locating the throne, so it might be worth having a stroll through your local woodland just in case.

#ForTheThrone has also teamed up with the Red Cross, with the "bleed" option welcoming fans to donate blood to the charity.

Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere on April 14, 2019. The show airs on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK. Season 7 is now available to buy on DVD, Blu-ray or digital download.
