George's massive pay day

He might have just become a new dad, but George Clooney has another reason to celebrate after selling his tequila brand Casamigos for a hefty sum.

The 56-year-old and business partner Rande Gerber are in for one big pay day, after they sold their tequila brand Casamigos to British alcohol company Diageo for one billion dollars!

That's right, ONE BILLION BUCKS. Not a bad pay out at all!

The business partners have agreed to stay on at the company, which means they're bound to make even more on top of that, according to TMZ.

George and Rande, along with Michael Meldman, established the brand only four years ago, with Rande telling the outlet the pals "never could have imagined" how much they would sell it for after such a short period of time.

No doubt the friends have something to say 'cheers' too after that deal!

While waiting for his twins to arrive, George even joked that Amal wouldn't let him name their children after the tequila brand!

"My wife says I can’t name them Casa and Amigos. That’s the one thing I’m not allowed to do," George told ET back in March.

And it seems Amal got her way, with the couple welcoming daughter Ella and son Alexander in early June.
