Ghostbusters star commits suicide
Ghostbusters star Henry ‘Hank’ Deutschendorf passed away last week after committing suicide.
He was found dead in his California home last week. He was 29 years old.
The actor was best known for playing Baby Oscar, alongside his twin brother William, in the 1989 film Ghostbusters II.
According to TMZ, he was found by William, who tried to resuscitate him, but it was too late.
In an online statement William said that his brother had a longstanding battle against schizoaffective disorder – a combination of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
He wrote in a lengthy blog post: “It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my twin brother, Hank. On Wednesday, June 14th, 2017, Henry John Deutschendorf II lost his battle with schizoaffective disorder.”
William also said his brother “fought for his life every day”.
“I will remember him as my best friend, my partner, my brother, and the bravest man I have ever known,” he added.
