By now, any royal fan worth their salt will be aware of the new biography, Finding Freedom, that chronicles Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's relationship and subsequent departure from their roles as senior working members of the family. However, not only does the book (which has not been officially authorised) cover the more serious aspects of that separation, it also contains some gems about their wedding. Hurrah!

As well as revealing sweet details, such as what the tables were named after at Meghan and Harry's evening reception, the book also shares that a certain celebrity guest showed up at the evening do in some rather 'out there' attire... namely, fancy dress. More specifically, fancy dress of a well known monarch (no, not Queen Elizabeth II, who was also in attendance – as that would've been just a tad awkward).

According to an anonymous source, none other than talk show host (and Gavin and Stacey star) James Corden delighted crowds by rocking up in full on Henry VIII regalia. Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand write, "After all the heartfelt remarks [speeches], the comic relief arrived in the form of The Late, Late Show host, James Corden, who strode into the middle of the tent dressed as Henry VII. His wife Julia, a friend of Meghan's, recoiled in mock horror."

James then apparently addressed the crowd by saying, "Your Royal Highnesses, ladies and gentlemen, I had no idea what to wear to a royal wedding, so I looked it up in the royal etiquette manual and found this outfit. I hope I've come in the right gear."

The book then adds, "After James wrapped up his act – including a bit about what [having the reception in] a tent said about the size of Windsor Castle – the guests then followed Harry's orders to have a serious party".

Obviously James' choice of clobber was very much just a joke, but we're absolutely loving imagining the thought of somebody seriously rocking up to Meghan and Harry's big day in tights and a tunic, thinking 'Yep, I've absolutely nailed this!'.

As previously mentioned, the book hasn't been sanctioned by any member of the royal family or their team, so make of that what you will...

Now, how can we track down some pictures from this fabulous affair?!
