Hailey Bieber’s signature beauty look hinges around her flawless Californian blonde hair – but as anyone with such a high-maintenance hue will know all too well, the upkeep is a job in itself. And with our salons still shuttered, maintaining an icy hair colour can be pretty-much impossible.

Bieber has found a chic compromise for anyone wanting to keep things light without all the commitment. Earlier this week, the model debuted a fresh new ‘bronde’ hair colour: a soft shade of biscuit-brown with smoky, blended highlights. With the roots kept close to what we assume is Bieber’s natural hair colour, she’ll be able to side-step any obvious regrowth issues, while keeping her lighter lengths.

The model’s new look came courtesy of hair stylist Amanda Lee and colourist Cassondra Kaeding - a favourite with the A-list, also trusted by Olivia Munn and Kylie Jenner.

Bieber’s natural new look chimes perfectly with her low-maintenance predilections; speaking to Bazaar in 2020, the model expressed how she’s been nurturing a less-is-more approach to beauty during the pandemic.

"I've done a bunch of different things with my hair, it's true, and I always loved being pink," she said. "During quarantine though, I just let my natural hair colour grow out, which, I don't think a lot of people know, is quite dark. I really want my hair to be healthy and I don't want to put bleach on it anymore. I'm just going to let it do its thing for probably the next year or so, and see where we get to.”
