The hangover cure everybody needs to know about

Christmas may be a time for giving, family and eating delicious food, but let’s be honest, it’s also a great excuse for a party.

And while nights out sipping on your favourite drink may seem like the best idea in the world at the time, the next day you’re usually wishing you had just gone to bed at 9pm and left the partying to someone else.

However, now a nutritionist has revealed that there’s a pretty simple and delicious way you can ease the pain of your hangover the morning after the night before.

Most people either reach for coffee or some painkiller as a helping relief, but speaking to Woman’s Health magazine, nutritionist Hannah Richards reckons one drink can do the trick.

She claims that grapefruit juice stalls the enzymes that break down drugs, like painkillers.

If you really need a helping hand from a drug, she recommends taking ibuprofen instead of anything else because something like aspirin can give you even more of an upset stomach.

There are also some other steps you can take to make the day after a loss less painful.

Drinking a tall glass of water before you go to bed, eating before you go out and eating “hangover-friendly” foods like honey and banana the next day can work a treat.
