Hilary Duff Brings 20-Year-Old Birkin Bag Out of For a Spin: 'Decided to Dust Her Off'
The actress seemingly purchased the expensive bag when she was a teenage Disney star working on 'Lizzie McGuire'
Hilary Duff just pulled out an old accessory from the back of her closet: a Birkin bag!
On her Instagram story, the actress shared a photo of the iconic purse sitting on the bench at the end of her bed. The bag appears to be Hermès Blue Zellige Togo Birkin 35cm Gold Hardware and features gold detailing, including a gold-plated lock hanging on the strap. The bag usually sells for around $25,000,
"Bought this girl almost 20 years ago in Paris and decided to dust her off and let her see the light of day for our weekend away. So cute," Duff, 36, captioned the Instagram story, meaning she purchased the bag around her 16th birthday when she was a Disney star on the hit Lizzie McGuire.

More recently Duff has opted for bags that give off a more casual-mom vibe. In 2016, she spoke to PEOPLE more about her style secrets including how the bags she's used have changed over the years.
"I'm not into giant bags. I think I got over big ones when I was carrying around a diaper bag all the time," she said. "Now I'm more into a comfy cross-body bag—omigod, I'm such a mom! I just don't carry that much stuff around anymore. I even like a clutch for daytime. It doesn't need to be sparkly, but it looks cute with a pair of jeans and a blazer."
Fast forward to present day, and the How I Met Your Father star, who is expecting her fourth child, is dressing for comfort. She shared on Instagram recently that she can no longer fit into a pair of her favorite jeans thanks to her growing belly.
“These perfect vintage Levi’s carried me through this pregnancy as long as they could,” she wrote over the photo, adding that she needed “to come for a visit” while tagging clothing store With Love, Lenny.
