Hospital workers sacked for tormenting newborns

A pair of junior hospital staff members from the US have been fired after sharing a video on social media making a newborn dance to a rap song and referring to newborn babies as “mini satans”.

Both the video and photo were posted to Snapchat and were seen by a school friend of one of the staff members and then shared with Denisa Shellito who posted them to Facebook in the “hopes that these childish girls get reprimanded and lose their jobs.”

“We are aware of a video / photos posted online. It’s outrageous, unacceptable, incredibly unprofessional, and cannot be tolerated,” the Commanding Officer of the hospital said in a statement.

The statement also clarified that legal action will be taken against the two women and that the parents of the newborn babies had been made aware of the situation.

“We have identified those involved – two junior enlisted corpsmen (not nurses). They have been removed from providing patient care and they will be handled in the legal system and military justice. We’ve notified the patient’s parents,” the rest of the statement read.
