The former Bachelor star is pocketing a hefty sum.

It has been a whirlwind first week for I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! viewers, with Kerri-Anne Kennerley exiting after just four days on the show. On Easter Monday, popular Bachelor star Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins entered the South African jungle, but his appearance came with a hefty price tag.

The former rugby union player recently welcomed a baby boy called Billy with partner Alexandra George. Producers knew that it would take a large payday to convince the reality TV star to leave his young family for the shoot.

According to a source, Channel Ten has been eyeing up the SAS star for years, deciding to pull out all the stops for this year’s explosive series.

“It’s a little less than the $500,000 that he was paid for The Bachelor, but this is a shorter production with less demands and rules. It’ll all be done in a few weeks, unlike The Bachelor, where he had to put his life on hold for six months."

This means the popular TV personality is likely earning the most from his stint in the jungle, with Kerri-Anne rumoured to have pocketed a cool $180,000 for her four days.

The 69-year-old told producers she would only compete on the reality TV show if she was able to bring beauty products with her.

Not too far behind Kerri-Anne is Channel Ten star Peter Helliar, who quit The Project last year in what was dubbed as a ‘mass exodus’. The comedian, 47, is said to be earning $90,000 for his appearance.

Former Australian Idol and Australia’s Got Talent judge Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickinson has also secured a decent salary. The 60-year-old is reportedly being paid $80,000 for his short stint in the jungle.

Some of the less high-profile celebrities are earning a smaller wage of just $50,000, including MAFS star Domenica Calarco, radio host Woody Whitelaw and AFL player Adam Cooney.
