What's up with Isla Fisher's accent?

Hollywood star Isla Fisher appeared on Sunrise this morning to promote her new children's book - but it wasn't her latest project that got our attention.

The Aussie actress chatted to TV hosts David 'Kochie' Koch and Sam Armytage, and it seems as though her Aussie accent has faded over time.

Chatting with the Sunrise hosts, we couldn't help but notice Isla's Aussie accent had become muddled by a polite British/American twang.

Isla, who is based in LA with her family, was born in the Middle East and moved to Australia when she was six years old.

The jet-setting actress' break-out role was playing Shannon Reed in Home and Away but she has since carved out a successful international acting career, including roles in Wedding Crashers, The Great Gatsby andNow You SeeMe.

When Sam and Kochie asked her about her globetrotting lifestyle, Isla said: "It's not easy. It's so appealing to me to be an author now because I can build my work around my family which is the dream choice for a job.

"With acting nowadays unfortunately you're shooting everywhere from London to New Orleans ... it's a gypsy nomadic lifestyle, it can be challenging."

The 40-year-old is married to British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, with whom she has three children with.

The actress awkwardly dodged questions about her personal life when the hosts pressed for details about her famous husband.

"He's not here doing the interview. I don't like talking about my private life," she squirmed.

Awkward!
