ISW: How Russia plans to use Iranian missiles?
The Institute for the Study of War is looking into how and when Moscow plans to use the missiles supplied by Tehran, amid growing international condemnation of Iran's support for Russia's war in Ukraine.
According to the US-based think tank, Russia plans to use short-range ballistic missiles to strike Ukrainian critical infrastructure in the coming months. This move aims to alleviate pressure on Russia’s own missile production while intensifying its military campaign.
Citing Ukrainian intelligence sources, the British newspaper The Times reported that Iran delivered more than 200 Fath-360 missiles to Russia through a Caspian Sea port on 4 September.
