James Harden was stopped by Paris police on Thursday, but set free without being taken into custody.

Video surfaced on social media of the Brooklyn Nets star pleading, "I don't understand," while being frisked on a sidewalk as rapper Lil Baby was detained by police.

Lil Baby was released from custody on Friday and was fined, according to The Associated Press. He posted to Instagram on Friday morning, too, and said that he was on his way back to the United States.

James Harden in Paris for Fashion Week

Harden has been seen with Lil Baby and Kanye West around Paris during the city's Fashion Week in recent days. ESPN reports that Harden was not arrested nor taken into custody during Thursday's incident.

According to local newspaper Le Parisien, police pulled over a vehicle Thursday afternoon when they smelled marijuana. Lil Baby and two others were in the car, according to police. Harden was not in the car. Police say they found 20 grams of marijuana in the car and arrested Lil Baby and the other two people in the car, who have not been publicly identified, according to the report.

Harden was apparently nearby and talking with his friends as the arrests took place. He was free to go after the three arrests, according to the local report.
