Don’t Look Up tells the story of two astronomers who are fighting to save our planet and warn people against an asteroid-based disaster. Lawrence will take on the role of the “low-level astronomer” who works to get some press for their theory about the world’s danger, reports Stylist.

There’s no word yet on who will star alongside Lawrence, however, the film is expected have a comedic tone.

Director Adam McKay, who also gave us Anchorman, The Big Short and Succession, explained his excitement over working with Lawrence on the project.

“I’m so thrilled to make this movie with Jen Lawrence,” he said in a statement. “She’s what folks in the 17th century used to call ‘a dynamite act’. And the fact that Netflix sees this movie as a worldwide comedy sets the bar high for me and my team in an exciting and motivating way.”

McKay and Lawrence are also working on another project, in which the actress will play Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, in an adaptation of John Carreyrou’s Bad Blood.
