From joining Puff Daddy on a dance-a-thon to successfully co-parenting twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez has long demonstrated that maintaining friendly and cordial relationships with exes is most certainly doable.
And now, the favour has been repaid with two of the Hustlers actor's high-profile ex-partners singing Lopez's praises in a recent magazine interview.
Speaking to InStyle - who feature Lopez on their cover this month - first up was Anthony who praised his ex-wife's work ethic and credited her as an inspiration for how he conducts his career too. The Latin singer was married to Lopez from 2004 to 2012, and the couple welcomed their children together in 2008.
'The thing about Jennifer is her ability to see and understand things before they happen,' said Marc. 'Before she even brings an idea up, she has visualised it a thousand times. And if anyone says it might not be the greatest idea, she'll say, "You just don't see it yet." Nine times out of 10, she'll nail it. She's the first one in the room and the last to leave. The hardest worker I've ever met. When we were together, it was quite the opposite for me. That has changed since. I learned so much from her. She's the original.'
Along similar lines was Affleck, who Lopez dated prior to marrying Anthony. The couple - dubbed 'Bennifer' by the press at the time - met by working together on the film Gigli, later getting engaged in 2002 before breaking it off two years later.
'I thought I had a good work ethic, but I was completely humbled and blown away by what she was committed to doing day in and day out, the seriousness in which she took her work, the quiet and dedicated way she went about accomplishing her goals, and then how she would go back and redouble her efforts,' Affleck told the magazine.
'She remains, to this day, the hardest-working person I've come across in this business. She has great talent, but she has also worked very hard for her success, and I'm so happy for her that she seems, at long last, to be getting the credit she deserves.'
This is not the first time Affleck has had kind words for his former fiancée. Back in 2020, the Argo director conveyed his shock that Lopez had not received an Oscar nomination for her critically acclaimed role in Hustlers.
'She should have been nominated,' Affleck told a New York Times journalist. 'She's the real thing. I keep in touch periodically with her and have a lot of respect for her. How awesome is it that she had her biggest hit movie at 50? That's f***ing baller.'
