Jessica Biel Ends Her 'Dramatic' N.Y.C. Summer as “The Better Sister” Wraps Filming: 'Can’t Wait for You to Meet These Sisters'
Biel stars alongside Elizabeth Banks, who plays her estranged sister, in the upcoming Prime Video thriller series
Jessica Biel is bidding farewell to her drama-filled summer.
On Wednesday, Oct. 9, the actress revealed that she had wrapped filming on her latest TV project, The Better Sister.
The Prime Video thriller series sees her team up with Elizabeth Banks to play a pair of estranged sisters, Chloe (Biel) and Nicky (Banks), who find themselves drawn back together after the murder of Chloe's husband Adam.
In the video, Biel, 42, shared a series of clips from the show's set, as well as several shots of her in the hair and makeup trailer getting prepped to film, as she closed the chapter on playing Chloe.
"Wrapped filming on The Better Sister! NYC summer never looked so dramatic," she wrote in the post's caption. "Can’t wait for you to meet these sisters. 🎬."
Justin Timberlake showed some love for his busy wife on the post, writing, "😍😍😍," and several of Biel's costars commented too, including Banks, 50, who wrote, "😢 😘 🤩."
Gabriel Sloyer, who Deadline announced will play one of Biel's late husband's lawyer colleagues, Jake, also commented, writing "👏 👏 👏 ."
Biel and Banks began filming the series, which is based on the book by Alafair Burke, in June. They were seen all over the city throughout the summer filming in various locations, from Central Park to Tribeca, before filming wrapped this month.
Per the show's official logline, "Chloe (Biel) moves through the world with her handsome lawyer husband Adam and teenage son Ethan by her side while her estranged sister Nicky (Banks) hustles to make ends meet while trying to stay clean."
When Adam is "brutally murdered," Chloe and Nicky reunite, and "the prime suspect sends shockwaves through the family, laying bare long-buried secrets."
While filming the series, the actresses also made time for some fun in between, and had several fun outings together — including to see Timberlake's Forget Tomorrow World Tour in June at Madison Square Garden.
Banks shared a vlog of the experience on Instagram the next day, as she filmed herself heading to the venue to see the singer and included several clips of him performing. While Biel did not appear in the video, Banks tagged her, and Timberlake commented on the post, "❤️."
Filming also coincided with Biel's husband's June arrest in Sag Harbor, as Timberlake, 43, was arrested for driving while intoxicated or impaired on June 19, but has since reached a plea deal in the case.
