Jim Carrey spotted looking very gaunt
There are fears for Jim Carrey’s health after the star was spotted looking overly gaunt at a recent event just a day after giving a bizarre interview to E! News.
The 55-year-old was attending the premiere of his new film Jim & Andy: The Great Beyond at the Toronto International Film Festival and looked a shadow of his former self.
The comedian wore black jeans and a simple white t-shirt with a leather jacket completing his dressed-down look.
But it was the star’s face that captured the most attention.
Jim also had some fun on the red carpet and plated a kiss on an actor portraying Tony Clifton – a character created by the late Andy Kaufman.
The actor left fans scratching their heads after a bizarre interview with E! News in which he claimed, “nothing was real”.
Chatting to host Catt Sadler at a New York Fashion Week event, Jim appeared relaxed and slightly off-kilter as he began waxing lyrical about the meaning of life.
“There’s no meaning to any of this. I wanted to find the most meaningless thing I could come to and join and here I am,” he said.
Some fans have suggested that Jim was simply in character as he’s reportedly set to play psychedelic astronaut Terence McKenna in an upcoming film.
