As the UK, and much of the world, heads into another weekend of lockdown, JK Rowling has launched a new initiative which she hopes will keep children and parents entertained without having to leave the house. Harry Potter At Home will be a hub of creative and craft activities for fans of the book series to enjoy.

"For over 20 years now, Hogwarts has been an escape for all – for readers and fans, young and old," Wizarding World, where the hub will be hosted, explained. "During the strange times we now find ourselves in, we want to welcome you back to Hogwarts, where you will find a friendly retreat for you, your family and those you are caring for."

Harry Potter At Home will feature extensive information for readers to enjoy, where they can rediscover the magic of Harry Potter by reading or listening either on their own or together, as well as having the opportunity to take part in a wealth of activities, including quizzes and puzzles. There will also be a weekly newsletter which will land in inboxes every Friday with new ideas and activities.

The programme has been made by possible through Harry Potter's UK and US publishers, Bloomsbury and Scholastic and Pottermore Publishing teaming up with leading spoken-word producer and provider Audible, library supplier OverDrive, and Wizarding World.
