Kanye West and Kim Kardashian 'living totally separate lives'

Kanye West had a visitor to his Wyoming ranch this week after his headline-making tweets about his family, but it wasn’t wife Kim Kardashian.

Apparently the 43-year-old and his Keeping Up With The Kardashians reality star wife have already been ‘living apart’ for months and been ‘at each other’s throats’ throughout lockdown, according to The Sun.

“Since lockdown they’ve had daily bust-ups over literally everything,” a source told the publication. “But mainly about the kids, their future, and the different directions they’re going in.”

According to the insider, the Kardashian-Wests have “barely had a functioning marriage” for the last year.

“He’s very demanding and always obsessed with one of his schemes — she’s exhausted. They live totally separate lives now,” they said.

Instead, Kanye has been living in Wyoming and has surrounded himself with “a small group of people who he trusts” - and apparently that doesn’t include his family.

“He’s paranoid and convinced he needs protection from them,” the insider said.

The rapper and 2020 presidential candidate shared a video on Tuesday which appeared to support this, after a visit from “true friend” Dave Chapelle.

Kanye thanked the comedian on Twitter for “hopping on a jet to come see me doing well.”

Sharing a video online, Kanye appeared upbeat with a group of friends. At one point, he asked Chapelle to tell a joke: “Alright Dave, can you please make us smile? The world needs some — we need some joy, we need a smile.”

“The brotherhood is real,” Chapelle replied. “Love is real.”

Kanye asked Chapelle again to tell an uplifting joke, to which the comedian quipped: “Now you know I don't write them.”

“I love you,” Kanye told the comedian, with the pair also exchanging hugs. “Thanks for coming out and checking on me.”

Chapelle’s visit comes after Kanye publicly claimed - in a series of now-deleted tweets - Kim and mother-in-law Kris Jenner were trying to have him ‘locked up’.

Sources have said Kim - who has kids North, now seven, Saint, four, Chicago, two, and 14-month-old Psalm with Kanye - is "deeply upset" with the hitmaker, as her whole family believe he has overstepped a boundary in making their private life public.

“Everyone is extremely worried about him and his mental state,” one family friend shared with Yahoo Entertainment. “Kim has been trying to help him, but he doesn’t think he needs help. Especially not any kind of medical intervention.”

A second insider tells Yahoo that Kardashian is both “worried and upset” — the latter due to West bringing up North, 7, at a troubling campaign rally on Sunday where he alleged Kardashian considered getting an abortion.

“She was truly shocked,” said the source, but noted that “Kim just wants to get him help right now.”
