The Luxury Moisturizer Kate Hudson Has Used for Decades Is Up to $300 Off at This Under-the-Radar Sale

There are hundreds of skincare brands on the market, but ask (almost) any celebrity the secret to their glowing skin, and chances are they’ll credit at least one La Mer product. Chrissy Teigen, Kim Kardashian, Olivia Palermo, and even Chris Hemsworth are among the many A-listers who have touted the luxury skincare brand’s products as shining stars in their beauty routines. But perhaps most notable is Kate Hudson, who has been a La Mer loyalist for decades.

In 2018, Hudson told PEOPLE that she had been hooked on the brand’s iconic Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream ever since her mom, Goldie Hawn, gifted it to her for Christmas more than 20 years ago. “[It was] the first quality skincare product I ever used,” Hudson said in the interview. She’s such a big fan, in fact, that she became the face of La Mer’s global digital campaign that same year.

It makes sense why she loves the La Mer moisturizer so much. Its rich, creamy consistency sinks deep into skin to soothe and hydrate dry, flaky areas, while simultaneously replenishing it to a brighter, more vibrant state. Leaving skin with a soft and supple texture, the cream is also said to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (which by the looks of Hudson’s gorgeous skin, we can believe). This is mostly achieved with the help of the brand’s signature Miracle Broth; the key ingredient — made from hand-harvested sea kelp — is at the heart of every La Mer product, and one of the main reasons each one comes with such a hefty price tag.

The smallest tub (0.5 ounces) of Hudson’s favorite Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream costs $90, while the largest tub (16.5 ounces) retails for $2,400. If you can’t fathom paying that much for moisturizer, you’re in luck. Thanks to Nordstrom’s Spend & Save sale, you can get the La Mer moisturizer for up to $300 off.

Here’s how it works: For a limited time, when you purchase regular-priced items, Nordstrom will reward you at checkout by taking a certain value off depending on how much you spend; get $50 off when you spend $250, $100 off when you spend $400, $200 off when you spend $800, and $300 when you spend $1,200. All items included in this promotion are labeled, including the celeb-approved moisturizing cream.

Since the largest tub meets the highest tier, that means you can score it for a whopping $300 off. You could also snag the two-ounce option for $295 (originally $345) without adding anything else to your cart. While both are still quite expensive, scoring any luxe beauty product for less is definitely notable — especially one like this that rarely goes on sale and is loved by celebs and beauty experts alike. If you're trying the moisturizing cream for the first time, you could always add the smaller size and a few other La Mer goodies to your cart to meet one of the other tiers. (Just make sure they’re labeled!)

Nordstrom is also offering select high-end beauty products for up to 15 percent off, including many from La Mer. With so many ways to save, there’s no better time than the present to treat yourself to some luxury skincare for less. But don’t wait too long, because Nordstrom’s Spend & Save sale ends on Sunday, December 13.
