Kate and Ivanka have this in common
While the Duchess of Cambridge‘s fashion choices are regularly compared to those of Princess Diana, she was likened to another influential figure on Thursday when the royal stepped out in a yellow dress in Berlin.

On the second day of her tour of Germany with her immediate family, including the Duke of Cambridge and their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, Kate Middleton sported a summery piece from one of her favorite designers, Jenny Packham, to visit the German Cancer Research Centre.
Funny enough, just two days ago, Ivanka Trump was photographed outside her Washington, D.C., home heading to work at the White house wearing a similar design featuring a thick brocade fabric and floral embroidery.
While the first daughter went for a more exaggerated look, completing her ensemble with bright turquoise heels and similarly colored jewelry, the duchess went with more classic accoutrements, including Oscar de la Renta earrings and her preferred comfy shoes, Monsoon espadrille wedges.
Just as she has done many times over the course of the past few days, Kate went down the diplomatic route in her fashion choice, with yellow being one of Germany’s national colors.
During the visit to the research facility, the royal couple met with Nobel Prize winner Harald zur Hausen, who’s known for discovering the link between human papillomavirus and cervical cancer. His research led to the HPV vaccine being given to women and girls around the world.
The day then took on a competitive edge when William and Kate took to the River Neckar for a rowing race, and later stepping out without their children George and Charlotte for an evening reception at the 'Claerchens Ballhaus' dance hall in Berlin.
