The Cambridge family are enjoying a low-key family holiday at a coastal beauty spot in the UK to mark the nearing end of summer.

According to People, Prince William and Kate have visited the Isles of Scilly, a holiday spot off the southwest corner of England, with their three children - Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and two-year-old Prince Louis.

The beach town holds a special significance for William. It was a location he frequented with his brother Prince Harry and their parents Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana when they were young boys.

This getaway is reportedly one of the first family holidays the Cambridges have taken together since quarantining at their Anmer Hall estate at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Though quarantine restrictions have eased in recent weeks across the country and social distanced local travel is allowed, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has halted lifting further social restrictions due as the UK is still experiencing a rise in cases nationwide.

Fellow tourists reportedly spotted both Prince William and Kate Middleton enjoying a bike ride together, per the Daily Mirror. The activity was a nod to vintage photos of a young Prince William and Prince Harry bike riding with their parents around the isles in 1989.

The quick trip was a break from a rigorous round of royal duties from the Duke of Cambridge. William has been actively promoting his Heads Up mental health campaign amid the FA Cup final, coinciding with his new initiative to promote the need for mental health awareness in the football world.
