Katie Price has claimed her children Junior and Princess aren't nepo babies as they chase their dreams of careers in the spotlight.

The TV star, 46, raises five children: Harvey, 22, Junior, 19, Princess, 17, Jett, 11 and Bunny, 10.

Princess has set her sights on becoming a millionaire by the age of 20 after landing a four-figure deal with PrettyLittleThing last year. Junior has followed in his singer dad's footsteps by signing with Columbia Records in August 2021.

This week the former I'm A Celebrity star sat down with The Netmums podcast, who say bill themselves as the UK's most trusted parenting community, to discuss all things motherhood and life in the spotlight. Conversation turned to nepo babies and Price insisted her children have got where they are down to their own work — not down to her or their dad Pete Andre's showbiz careers.

She told the podcast: "What is a nepo baby? Is it like kids who get thrown into the industry on the back of their parents or did I read that wrong?"

Once the hosts had explained a nepo baby is a celebrity's child who gets jobs off the back of their parents being famous. "Right, I would like to disagree with that with Junior and Princess," she said. "Let me tell you why."

She explained: "They have been brought up with cameras. That's all they know. They are generally, we are not pushy parents whatsoever I'm not a pushy parent. Whatever they choose to do is what they choose to do."

The mum said her son Junior is naturally talented and her daughter is pretty.

She said: "Junior is naturally talented dancer and singer, got his scholarship at school to do drama, acting. He's talented. You can't make someone be a singer or dancer. You're either natural at it or you are not. So we always knew he would do something like that. If you look at his Instagram, I don't think there's a picture of me and him on it because he doesn't want to be associated — he wants to do it himself. He wants the credit himself.

"With Princess, you can't deny she's a pretty girl so she gets offered all this stuff. No different to anyone else. Again she doesn't use us on her page. I don't go to events to be pictured to help her, same with Junior, they do it all themselves.

"Yeah people might say in their headline it's their daughter or their son but you've got to give them credit. They're doing it themselves, don't interfere. I certainly don't make phone calls to get them jobs. they want to do it themselves."

It's been three years since she made her last appearance on The Netmums podcast but she said she had a lot to catch them up on, including her IVF journey that is coming to our screens soon.

Price — who recently sparked a mystery by holding two baby dolls on social media — has said she would love to have two more children but she's grateful she has had five kids. The former glamour model also said while she acts young and looks younger, her body is 46 and she has been experiencing pre-menopausal symptoms including cold sweats where she wakes up "soaking wet".

Elsewhere in the podcast, Price said her own experience of recovering from surgery where she has been "battered" and "sore" hopefully has put her daughter Princess off for life. The mum-of-five — who openly talks about her own love of plastic surgery and had her sixth face lift this year — said her daughter doesn't even talk about cosmetic procedures.

Reflecting on her own life experiences, the reality star said she would like to tell her younger self not to rush relationships or trust her managers and to get everything she can in writing and get better financial advice.

Price has just finished a domestic abuse course to help show her what a healthy relationship should look like and hopes to be able to offer her children support in the future with romantic relationships. It's been about a year now since she's been going steady with JJ Slater, Married At First Sight star. Price said everyone is asking when are they getting married or having babies but she's been enjoying taking their romance slow and having a relationship with a "normal" man.

Moving into her new house has been fantastic, she said, so much so that everyone has noticed the difference. She wished anyone who choses to buy the Mucky Mansion goodluck but she claimed the house is haunted and has only brought her bad luck.

Also, Price spoke openly about her ADHD diagnosis and how everything "makes sense" now. However, she pointed out she has always had "patience" when being a mum to her five children. She spoke about her dreams of paramedic but at the moment she is focusing on becoming a life coach.
