Katie Price has opened up about her traumatic experiences of assault, including being raped in a park at just seven years old.
The model and TV star said attacks and abuse from an early age had affected the rest of her life and led to her seeking help at rehab centre The Priory.
In an interview for podcast Changes With Annie Macmanus, she said: “My thing that’s always been wrong in my life is men. That is from an early age.
“I was raped as a kid. At seven. That is in my first book. I was in a park.”
She also spoke about being abused very early in her career by a photographer who ended up going to prison.
Price said: "He was obsessed with me. He took indecent photographs that I thought were innocent at the time. I was 12.
"He used to make these milkshakes. I never took one because I didn’t like it. That’s what he did he made the girls drink them and he drugged them.”
Last year Price spent a stint at The Priory, which she told radio presenter Annie Mac had been life-changing for her.
Speaking about her dad leaving when she was very young and then her experiences of assault, she said: “So they worked out (at The Priory) the reason I jumped in and out relationships... it is not wanting that father figure… they always let me down... that has been my trouble in life, it is to do with men.”
The interview also included mum-of-five Price talking about a terrifying gunpoint attack in South Africa in 2018.
In the country filming for her reality show with children Princess and Junior, she was held at gunpoint by six men after stopping the car for Junior to go to the toilet.
Police later told her her she was lucky to be alive.
Price said: “They did things to me in front of my kids in the car. They had a gun to my head. We thought we were going to die.”
The 42-year-old, who is also mum to Harvey, Jett and Bunny, is now engaged to Carl Woods.
