While you were baking your third banana bread and contemplating touching up your roots this weekend, Hailey and Justin Bieber were having their own, film-inspired, romantic moment on a lake, but while the couple display signs they're more loved up than ever, friend Kendall Jenner admits she really didn't predict their relationship working out.

On Sunday, the singer shared a photograph of his wife sitting in a boat as they practise social distancing during Covid-19.

‘Luvssss,’ he captioned the sweet clip, which sees the model dressed in a bright green jumper, blue jogging bottoms and trainers. Meanwhile, her dog sits wrapped up in her arms.

The picture looks like a modern day version of a scene from the 2004 Nicholas Sparks film The Notebook, in which Allie (Rachel McAdams) and Noah (Ryan Gosling) row a boat out onto a lake years after their romance ended.

Later in the day, the couple – who officially married in September 2018 before hosting another wedding a year later in South Carolina for friends and family – filmed their latest Live With Biebs video series on Instagram.

During the ‘show’, the couple’s friend Kendall Jenner joined them to discuss their relationship and how they’re spending their time as they social distance.

Describing his life with Hailey as having a ‘happily married family’, he went on to quiz Jenner as to whether she foresaw him having a relationship with his now wife.

‘Honestly, no!’ the runway star replied.

'I think I hoped, obviously Hails is my lady, my best friend, and I wanted it so bad for both of you,' she said. 'It just makes me really happy.'

Jenner also shed light on the couple’s big day last year, revealing that she was ‘pretty drunk’ at the reception and cried a lot.

'Through the ups and downs you've always been there, I know you have for Hailey,' the 26-year-old singer added, before joking if they spilt she would be 'Team Hailey.'

Jenner laughed, adding: ‘I love you both, but Hails is my girl.'

The models recalled first meeting at the premiere of The Hunger Games when Jenner was aged 16 and later striking up a friendship.

'She was my first real friend in New York, Hails is the reason I love New York,' Jenner added, adding that she’s currently self-isolating with her friend Tiffany in Los Angeles.

Days before, Hailey opened up on an Instagram Live about how she’s ‘happier’ than she’s been in a while as she social distances with her husband in Canada.

‘I thought I was going to have a lot of anxiety through this process and there has been some. But it’s also really shown me that the simplicity in life and kind of dialling everything back has made me so happy,’ she said in the video.

‘I’ve been happier than I felt in months just from being able to be low-key and just hang, and not have things on a schedule. I feel really reconnected with myself and that’s unexpectedly made me really happy.’

The couple have been keeping busy taking part in TikTok challenges and playing games together.
