Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Romantic Future And Addresses 'Failed' Relationships
Kim Kardashian has shared her desire to find love again following her third divorce.
During a recent appearance on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast, the 42-year-old said: 'I think I'll always be a hopeless romantic and always want to be in love and definitely love sharing my life with someone, and love creating a life with someone.'
The mum-of-four continued: 'I definitely will take my time. And I think there's so many factors, especially when you have kids and being mindful of people that enter in your life.'
Kardashian shared her 'number one' tip for a long-lasting relationship under the spotlight, saying: 'Every relationship can be different. If you have just a mutual respect around the, across the board, that's I think the number one thing.'
Still, the SKIMS co-founder and aspiring lawyer isn’t actively 'searching for' romance.
'I'm really content. My babies make me happy, my family, my life. You know, experiences make me happy.'
Kardashian was in a highly publicised marriage to rapper Kanye West (‘Ye’) from 2014 to 2022. While not naming him specifically during the podcast, she subtly addressed her ex-husband when saying that sometimes the differences in a relationship can 'coexist really well. But then sometimes, [they] really can't'.
She added: 'Sometimes I feel like people think that if a relationship doesn't work out that it's a failure, but I don't really look at it like that 15 years together, 10 years. That's not a failure. That is so beautiful.'
According to divorce documents obtained by People, after the pair's divorce was finalised in November, the former couple agreed to share custody of their four children – North, nine, Saint, seven, Chicago, five and Psalm, four – and waived spousal support.
In February 2022, Kardashian seemingly revealed the cause of her divorce. She told American Vogue: 'I’ve chosen myself,' adding: 'I think it’s okay to choose you. For so long, I did what made other people happy.
'And I think in the last two years I decided, I’m going to make myself happy. And that feels really good. And even if that created changes and caused my divorce, I think it’s important to be honest with yourself about what really makes you happy.'
Before West, Kim was married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2004, and athlete Kris Humphries for just 72 days in 2011.
