King Charles shakes hands of Southport first responders who attended fatal stabbings

King Charles III met first responders who attended the scene of the fatal Southport stabbings as he visited Merseyside on Tuesday, 20 August.

His Majesty suspended his traditional Balmoral break to hold a private meeting with injured children who survived the attack and their families.

The King also spent time viewing floral tributes left in memory of Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, who were fatally attacked at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class on 29 July.

Charles will host the three bereaved families in London on Wednesday.
