  • Kylie Jenner appeared in a YouTube video with James Charles this week.

  • The reality star opened up about being trolled in the past and the impact it's had on her.

Kylie Jenner has revealed the person you see on Instagram and your TV screens is a very different person to who she is behind closed doors. The reality star, who shot to fame when she was just 10-years-old after appearing on E! family show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, got open and honest with James Charles during a Halloween tutorial on his YouTube channel.

The beauty mogul admitted that her millions of fans rarely get to see what she's really like in real life after facing lots of cruel comments as her fame grew.

"I think that I showed my true personality for so long ago on Vine and Instagram," she began. "But as I got bigger and bigger, I realised... when people used to say really mean things about how I really am, my personality and what I love the most about myself, it would hurt me more than almost playing a character."

Kylie, 23, continued, "So I just started doing a little less, which is sad. It makes me sad."

At that point, James chimed in to point out just how funny she is. "You saying that... that's a bigger compliment to me. But it's something that is so sacred," Kylie replied.

However, it sounds a lot like she's not about to let the trolls get the better of her just yet, as she added that she's keen to do more YouTube videos so she can show off more of her personality.

Please do, Kylie!
