Larry King leads tributes to David Cassidy following death

Following the news of The Partridge Family star David Cassidy's death, celebrity tributes have come flowing in.

Larry King posted on Twitter about his sadness to hear the news of the actor's death after he was being treated for organ failure.

"Sad to learn David Cassidy has died," Larry wrote. "Like his father Jack he had great talent, and a complicated life. Condolences to his wonderful family."

David's nephew and The Voice USA star Jack Cassidy also took to social media to send a tribute to his late uncle.

Harry Connick Jr said he was "so sad to hear of the passing of David Cassidy".

The singer sent his "love and prayers to his family".

Beach Boys member Brian Wilson took to social media to reflect on the time he spent with David in the mid-1970s in his tribute to his old friend.

Charmed star Alyssa Milano also posted in the wake of David's death.

Spy Kids star Alexa PenaVega expressed her hurt at the news her "TV daddy" passing away.

Teen idol David passed away after suffering multiple organ failure.

While he was best known as one of the most popular teen idols of all time thanks to his iconic Keith Partridge role on the ’70s musical sitcom The Partridge Family.

David enjoyed a wide-ranging, decade-straddling career that included music, Broadway, Vegas, film, and roles on comedic, dramatic, and reality television.

He is survived by his two children daughter Katie Cassidy, whom he had with his then-partner Sherry Williams Benedon, and his son Beau with third wife Sue Shifrin.
