LazyTown's Robbie Rotten actor dies, aged 43
Former LazyTown star Stefan Karl Stefansson has died at age 43.
His family have confirmed that he passed away surrounded by his loved ones in Los Angeles on Tuesday (August 21) after battling bile duct cancer for two years prior to his death, according to TMZ.
Stefansson is best known for starring in the beloved Icelandic children's series LazyTown as the villainous Robbie Rotten, who was always out to ruin the fun of Stephanie and her friends. The series originally aired for ten years on-and-off, beginning in 2004.
Earlier this year, Stefansson shared the tragic news that he was battling an inoperable form of cholangiocarcinoma after previously being given the all-clear from the disease last summer.
