Liam Hemsworth has spoken about staying "balanced" after his split from wife of eight months Miley Cyrus, in an interview with Men's Health Australia.

Liam, who is on the cover of Men's Health Australia's May issue, spoke about his role in new Quibi series, Most Dangerous Game, a dystopian thriller in which he plays a character called Dodge Tynes. The series tells the story of Tynes who, diagnosed with a terminal illness, is desperate to provide for his pregnant wife before passing away, and therefore accepts an offer to participate in a deadly game in which he is the prey.

Hemsworth said of the role, "I spent most of the project running around the streets and getting beaten up as well,” he said. “But it was a great thing ’cause it just kept me moving. I was doing like, 10 [kilometers] a day or something at one point, which I’ve never done in my life."

When he was asked if his focus was on "rebuilding", he responded with a laugh, saying, "Rebuilding? Yeah, that’s a good way to put it."

He went onto say, "This last six months, honestly, for keeping my head level and just staying balanced, I’d say exercise has been big for me."

The couple were together on and off for ten years, and married for eight months before announcing their split in August 2019, with Liam filing for divorce while Miley embarked on #HotGirlSummer on a boat in Lake Como with Kaitlynn Carter. The divorce was finalised in February of this year, and the pair seem to both have moved on: Miley with fellow PDA-er Cody Simpson, and Liam with Australian model Gabriella Brooks.
