Remember when Fringe Season kicked off around the midpoint of last year, and celebrities all got the same memo about getting a fringe cut in? Well, we think it's making a comeback...

We received a much-needed dose of nostalgia when Courteney Cox got a '90s "Monica" fringe, and Jennifer Lopez opted for a slightly earlier decade with her '70s bangs. Alicia Keys also revealed her blunt-fringe transformation for the 2020 Billboard Music Awards, and Perrie Edwards, who's known for her signature centre part (or a side-sweep if she's feeling risqué), wore a gorgeous feathered fringe for little Mix's new Sweet Melody music video.

And then all our fringe dreams came true when Taylor Swift started experimenting with brow-skimming bangs, recently updating her go-to cowgirl braids with a super-short fringe, parted off-centre and taking her glossy shag to the next level.

The aforementioned fringes are impressive, sure, and we hate to compare, but when we came across lily Allen's recent post, unveiling a new micro-fringe and vintage beehive, we realised it blew all the others out of the water.

In the picture, Lily can be seen holding a bouquet of flowers - an invite from fashion designer Kim Jones for the FW21 Fendi show. She captioned the post: 'Thanks for the 💐, can’t wait for tomorrow #FendiFW21 #anotefromkimjones'

But we weren't looking at the flowers, because... wow... THAT FRINGE! 😍

The feedback was unanimous, with fans quick to compliment Lily's new extreme style.

'Yes to this hair xx❤️❤️" said one, while another commented, '
'Fringe works 👏'

Just don't go growing it out, Lily - it's a keeper.
