Lily James has shared an early image from the set of Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! – and we can hardly contain our joy.
The British actress will play a younger version of Meryl Streep's character Donna in the forthcoming and certainly unexpected sequel – and is now teasing fans of the original 2008 musical by sharing a picture of a younger version of Donna and her band, The Dynamos.
"It's happening," said Lily, followed by "#TheDynamos #MammaMia2".
The other Dynamos, Rosie and Tanya, were played by Julie Walters and Christine Baranski in the original.
There's sadly no word on who will play a younger Baranski yet (although Baranski herself will reprise her role for the sequel), we do know young Rosie will be played by Alexa Davies (The Five, The Sense of an Ending), even if we're still not sure Walters herself will be returning.
No word on who will play a younger Tanya yet, either.
Confirmed to definitely be returning for a reprise 10 years on from the first movie are original Mamma Mia cast members Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper.
However, Cooper isn't worried about reuniting with ex-girlfriend Seyfried on the film one little bit.
"I think it will be fine working with Amanda again," he said. "I haven't spoken to her for a while, but we always remained friends.
"Though it'll be odd, gazing into each other's eyes and singing an ABBA song."
Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again! is due for release in US cinemas on July 20, 2018 and UK cinemas on July 27, 2018.
