Lindsay Lohan's mother has lost her battle to save family home


Lindsay Lohan's mother has lost their family home following a five-year legal battle.
The New York house where the 'Mean Girls' star grew up is to be sold off at public auction to after Dina Lohan failed to meet the mortgage payments.
The Blast reports it has obtained court documents which show a New York judge has ordered the property be sold within 90 days after Dina failed to respond to a foreclosure lawsuit.
Dina - Lindsay's former manager and star of reality show 'Living Lohan' - owed $1,492,784.21 on the home as of December 2017.
She was first sued for foreclosure by JPMorgan Chase in 2013 and launched a legal battle to save the house. Lindsay, 31, even stepped in at one point, giving her mother $40,000 to try and keep the house in the family's possession.
A deal was reached and the lawsuit was put on hold.
But earlier this year the bank restarted legislation to seize the property and Dina did not show up to court to respond to the suit.
Lindsay - who has also suffered financial problems in recent years - is currently riding high on her success as the new spokesperson for legal directory Lawyer.com.
The 'Parent Trap' star - who has served time behind bars for several criminal convictions and has recently been saddled with a massive tax bill - pokes fun at her past legal troubles in advert for the company.
The former child star was first arrested back in 2007 for Driving Under The Influence (DUI) and possession of cocaine. Since then she has been arrested on several other counts of DUI, reckless driving and shoplifting, and been convicted in three cases.
Lindsay has served time in jail, including two weeks of a 90 day sentence in 2010 for violating her probation. She was released early due to overcrowding.
The 'Parent Trap' star has also been sentenced to rehab on numerous occasions for failing drugs test, skipping court-ordered counseling sessions or failing to perform her community service.
It was recently revealed she owes $100,710.55 in back taxes for earnings during the years of 2010, 2014 and 2015. During that time, Lindsay filmed the OWN docuseries with Oprah Winfrey and had a small part in the movie 'Machete'.
