US President Donald Trump said Tuesday the United States will take control of war-torn Gaza as he addressed reporters at the White House after talks with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
Trump predicted that the Gaza Strip, home to more than two million Palestinians, could become "the Riviera of the Middle East".
Netanyahu praised Trump for "thinking outside the box" and described the US president as the "greatest friend Israel has ever had".
Senior Hamas Official Sami Abu Zuhri described the call for Gazans to leave as "expulsion from their land" and "a recipe for generating chaos and tension".
