The bodies of a woman and girl have been found in a Sydney home, police have just revealed.

Officers were called to a Marsfield home this morning over concerns for the welfare of those inside.

Police found the bodies of a woman believed to be in her 50s and a girl believed to be in her teens.

Investigations have commenced.

Residents near the giant chemical fire in Melbourne's west could have an immediate impact from the smoke, experts have warned.

“Fire smoke from factory fires often contains many chemicals and noxious fumes which can be highly irritating to the eyes, nose and airways of people who are exposed even for periods under one hour," Professor Christine Jenkins, researcher in respiratory medicine at UNSW said.

"Immediate symptoms such as cough are often accompanied by intense nose and eye watering, which can continue for many hours afterwards."

A man wanted in connection with the suspected murder of three women killed in a crossbow attack at their UK home has been detained by police.

Kyle Clifford, 26, was detained by police in a cemetery in London's Enfield, some 24 hours after the wife and two daughters of BBC racing commentator John Hunt were discovered dead in what police described as a targeted attack.

As part of a note sent to BBC 5 Live staff on Wednesday, the organisation said it would provide Mr Hunt with “all the support we can” after the killings of Carol Hunt and her two daughters Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25, in Bushey, Hertfordshire.

A father who allegedly stopped his family being rescued from their burning home has been charged with murdering three of his children.

The 28-year-old is due to face a bedside court hearing on Thursday after initially being left in a coma following the blaze at his home at Lalor Park, in Sydney's west.

Three of his children, aged six, two and five months, died in the fire on Sunday, while three others were hospitalised.

The man has been charged with three counts of domestic violence-related murder and a further five counts of attempted murder.

The attempted murder charges relate to four other children and the man's 29-year-old partner, all of whom survived.

The man is also accused of destroying or damaging property with the intent of endangering life.

Homicide detectives allege he tried to stop people entering the burning home to rescue the children after starting the fire.

The man is due to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Thursday from his bed at Westmead Hospital.
