Loose Women has ruffled a few feathers once again, this time over its interview with the father of the late, great Amy Winehouse.
Mitch Winehouse appeared on today's (September 14) show to remember his daughter, and to discuss the foundation set up in her name – on what would have been her 35th birthday.
Although Mitch and the panel did talk about his charity work, Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams also asked about his daughter's struggle with addiction, as well as Sir Paul McCartney's recent comments about his own regrets over Amy.

"Y'know, I thought we were talking about something else today," Mitch replied when asked if he had struggled to accept that his daughter was in "the grip of addiction", something viewers immediately branded "awkward" and "uncomfortable".
"[I] find it so uncomfortable how they're treating Mitch Winehouse!" one viewer commented on Twitter, while another called the interview "horrible".
"Amy Winehouse's dad came into Loose Women to speak about what would've been his daughters birthday, and they're just grilling him on her drug addiction," another added.

Disgusting that #LooseWomen invite Amy Winehouse’s family onto the show only to talk about her addiction. That is not how she is remembered🙄- char ✨ (@charwhistonx) September 14, 2018

So disappointed with @loosewomen putting such a negative spin on that interview with @mitchwinehouse. He literally had seconds to say what he actually came on for... And he's doing such amazing things in her memory! #AmyWinehouse- Jade (@junicorn12) September 14, 2018
Mitch has always been fiercely protective of his daughter since her tragic death in 2011, most notably distancing himself from the Oscar-winning documentary about her life by Asif Kapadia.
Shortly after Amy's Academy Award win, Mitch denounced the biopic, calling it "a negative, spiteful and misleading portrayal of Amy."
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
