Samira Mighty's decision to leave the Love Island villa may not have come as too much of a surprise, considering her heartache at Frankie Foster's departure, but that hasn't stopped fans from feeling sad to see her go.
For most of her time on the show, the West End star was quite unlucky in love – that was, until bombshell Frankie arrived on the scene.
A few days after his emotional dumping, she decided to "follow her heart" and pursue her relationship on the outside rather than trying to connect with anyone new that might enter the villa.
Frankie has been pretty open about his belief that there's "definitely" potential in their relationship but Samira, who was still cut-off from reality, has admitted that she's "nervous" to see him again.
"I am really excited and also really nervous," she said shortly after her exit. "All we know is our villa relationship so I'm really excited to see how it'll work on the outside world and if we are compatible and do like each other as much as we said."
It seems that the pair had hinted they would wait for each other, having been torn apart by a public vote. "Just before he left he said 'see you in three weeks, see you soon' and he said to a few of the boys that he was going to wait for me so it feels positive at the moment and good."
Standing by her decision to walk away from the show, Samira later added that she was "very proud" of herself but that she felt strongly that it was the "right time" for her to go.
"I'm obviously devastated to be leaving my best friends but this is the perfect time," she said. "I've found what I wanted to find and it was Frankie so I'm going to go and get him.
"I do see a future with Frankie, I've never met anyone like him before. He is gorgeous and we did have a genuine connection. I wouldn't change anything about my time in the villa, I have no regrets."
Love Island airs at 9pm on ITV2.
