Olivia Attwood's mum appeared on ITV's Lorraine today (July 17) to talk about Love Island.
Unfortunately, the live interview appeared to get seriously awkward when Lorraine Kelly mentioned to Jennifer that her daughter had sex with boyfriend Chris Hughes on the show last night.
Looking seriously unimpressed, the mother-of-two hit back: "She's actually one of the last ones to do anything physical in the villa.
"Her and Chris have had a roller coaster of a relationship and it was bound to happen at some point if they remained together. It is natural!
"She is 26, they've been in there a long time and there's a spark between them. It was going to happen."
Jennifer then went on to admit she wasn't entirely happy with her daughter's experience on Love Island.
She continued: "It's been difficult to watch Olivia – she's not had the smoothest ride. The girl I'm seeing on screen is not the girl I know."
The concerned mum then appeared irritated when Lorraine asked if her daughter was playing a game by not being herself.
Jennifer then hit back: "No she is not playing a game! I think the show is just very well edited.
"Olivia is a very loving girl with very strong family values. She is so close to all of her family and one of the kindest people I know. But that doesn't come across on the show which is upsetting."
She then went on to address rumours that her daughter is using Chris.
During last night's show, Olivia admitted that the thing she wants most in the world is money as opposed to love.
The shock confession had led some to believe that she has coupled up with Chris purely to win the £50,000 cash prize.
"We need to address the issue of why Olivia went on the show because people are saying it's because of the prize money," added Jennifer. "Well, if that is what she's doing, she's not playing a very clever game is she?
"If you want to win Love Island, you need to go into the villa, latch on as a couple and keep your head down. That's exactly what she hasn't done!"
Viewers tuning in at home couldn't help but notice how awkward the interview was and were quick to take to Twitter afterwards.
One wrote: "Olivia's mum looks so pissed to be sat on that sofa. #Lorraine."
Another then posted: "Olivia's mom doing an interview under protest- she looks seriously pissed #loveisland #lorraine #gmb."
Moments later, a third added: "Olivia's mum is just as bad as crabbit as Olivia😐. #loveisland #lorraine."
Love Island is on ITV2, daily at 9pm. Lorraine is on ITV, weekdays at 9.30am.
