Man charged over Melbourne death

A man is due to appear in court charged with murder following the death of a man, whose body may have been in a Melbourne home for more than a week before its discovery.

The Phong Vuong, 49, was found dead at his Erin Square, Deer Park, home on June 26.

Police believe the man hadn't been seen since June 15 and neighbours heard a gunshot about 3am on June 20.

On Monday police arrested a 35-year-old Kingsbury man and a 45-year-old Coburg man, before later charging the younger man with murder.

He has been remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

The older man is still being questioned by police.
