A man has died in hospital after a crash on the A977 in Perth and Kinross last week.

James Hynd, 85, was the driver of a car that collided with a lorry around 17:00 on Thursday 19 September, near the village Blairingone.

Mr Hynd, from Dollar, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he died on Monday.

The driver of the lorry was not injured.

Police Scotland Insp Andrew Thomson said the force sent their thoughts to Mr Hynd's family and friends.

He added: "If anyone has information and has not already spoken to police, I’d urge them to get in touch. I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage which may assist our inquiries."
