Man dies in NSW water ski incident

A man has died after being injured in a water ski incident on the Hawkesbury River northwest of Sydney.

Emergency services were called to the Hawkesbury River at Wilberforce about 3.40pm on Wednesday and found a man with leg injuries.

He was unable to be revived and died at the scene, a NSW Police spokesman told AAP.

Police have been told the man was injured while water skiing on the river with three other men who were uninjured.

The driver of the boat has been taken to Hawkesbury hospital for mandatory testing.
