As fans eagerly await the premiere of the new season of The Bachelor, word on the street is that Matty J couldn't be happier with the woman he's chosen. Now no spoilers here, but the latest reports suggest the hunk had to "fake chemistry" with some of the girls on producers' requests, to keep things exciting.
New Idea magazine reports that the 30-year-old had to "re-shoot so many scenes" to avoid an obvious ending.
"Matty had an instant connection with someone and after that he found it really difficult to fake chemistry during filming," a source tells the publication.
However, in a statement to Be, a Channel Ten spokesperson has dismissed the reports as "rumours".
"Inaccurate speculation and wild rumours are increasingly synonymous with The Bachelor," the statement read. "These claims are just another example of that. We look forward to showing viewers the truth about Matty J's journey later this year on TEN."
Speaking of behind-the-scenes goss, fellow reality star Jake Ellis, who starred on The Bachelorette with Matty last year, says there's no way the dark-haired hunk would've slept with any of the contestants in the mansion.
“I feel like that’s impossible to happen because during our filming and I’m almost 100% sure it’s the same, Matty and all the Bachelorettes are kept completely separate, there’s two different houses,” Jake recently told Be.
“It’s physically impossible because when we were filming we were in one mansion which I believe is the same that this season is filmed in and the other house where Georgia or Matty stayed is a couple of kilometers away so I don’t see that happening,” he continued.
The former reality star also revealed that the fame might have gone to Matty’s head.
“Someone sent me a message today, apparently one of the other boys mentioned that it’s gone to Matty’s head or something,” he said.
